The study of biology is central to understanding the world around us. Our department offers undergraduate and graduate programs steeped in research that reflects the complexity and diversity of living organisms. Working closely with faculty, students explore everything from cell and molecular biology to ecology and evolution.

We offer majors and minors in biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, and environmental science. You also could pursue a concentration in mathematical biology and bioinformatics or a track in pre-health biology.
加速B.A./M.S. 项目
As an undergraduate, you may apply to our 加速B.A./M.S. 生物学学位, or in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a fifth year paid for by a scholarship.

Our doctoral program’s intimate size allows Ph.D. students to collaborate, build relationships with, and receive mentoring from world-class faculty.
Faces and Places of 研究
Our faculty and students spend a lot of time in the lab and analyzing data — but they also head outdoors to conduct research and collect samples. They travel across 麻萨诸塞州 and to Alaska, and from Bermuda to the Philippines, to study plants and animals up close in diverse habitats.
